Read the poem “Nothing Gold Can Stay,” by Robert Frost.
lesya692 [45]

The line of the poem which expresses the theme that youth passes quickly is:

“ But only so an hour”

The poem “Nothing Gold Can Stay,” by Robert Frost is about the inevitability of things which are beautiful and soothing. Frost explores the theme that although youth is beautiful and charming, it will be lost someday. He shows this change with the examples taken from nature. He adds that the flowers which bloom in spring season will be lost and the children will grow and turn into adults. He takes the example of the Fall of man to show that every beautiful thing can be turned down.

. To spell the word believable, why is the final e dropped from the base word believe?
pogonyaev
The final e is dropped from the base word when we spell the word believable because the suffix begins with a vowel. The suffix used in the word believable is -able. This is one of the vowel suffixes. The general rule is, in order to add a vowel suffix to a word ending in silent e, the final e should be removed then connect the vowel suffix.

brad believes in music for its therapeutic effect on unhappy people is that a transitive or intransitive verb
liubo4ka [24]
It would be transitive. A transitive has a direct object, something that it the verb is acting on. The verb is belive. The direct object is what it's acting on, so, what is he believing? In music. He is believing on the music, so since it has a direct object, it's transitive.

It would be intransitive if it didn't have a direct object:

I believe.
He believed.

But as soon as you add any kind of direct object it's transitive:

I believed him.
He believed the dog.
