Answer: It was quite a challengue to choose just one single event, but I´ll go with my favorite video game saga.

Explanation: In a world deeply submerged into total darkness, a world where there´s only one single little remanent of the flame that once existed, wrathly and unstoppable: The Ashen One. A choosen undead among all the miserable hollow souls, destined to be Champion of the Ashes, Heir of Fire.

With that impossible task of retrieving the souls of the old kings in order to opne the final door to extintion or salvation. A door that lies beyond every known corner of this reality, a place called the Kiln of the First Flame.

Our choosen one has made it so far, just to face his destiny. A final showdown against the entity that posses the souls of all the Champions that tried to revive the flame that once shine with grace....The Soul of Cinder.

I stood in the back of the crowd, watching as the elf king walked towards the pulpit where the human queen already stood in all the grandness of the twelve regions. She stood, her head held high, her long white hair from years of war flowing freely in the gentle breeze. Her dress was made of golden silk with details of white flowers patterned onto the fabric. She represented the best the human kind had to offer, a willingness to bow and say that this centuries long war would be put to an end.
The elf king dipped his head in return, he was wearing long royal blue robes, his short brown hair pushed back as he straightened again. Setting his quill in the ink first he signed his name followed shortly by our queen.
They shook hands and the crowd cheered. The war was over.

Hope this isn't too long, and hope you like my writing. Just whipped this up. ^-^

Explain the significance of Gregor’s focusing solely on how his inability to go to work will affect his family, rather than on t
Irina18 [472]

Kafka uses peculiar and round-about ways of saying things when talking about Gregor in order to convey the complications that Gregor's personality presents. Gregor is a man who is completely controlled by the expectations that society and his family have of him. He knows that he should work hard, be responsible, sacrifice everything for his family and be the breadwinner. These are the expectations that dominate his whole life. The reason why he is so overwhelmed by them is because these stem from his social context, and not from his personal goals or dreams.

Kafka choice of language in this passage reflects this feeling. Gregor is constantly doing what he ought to do, and not what he wants to do or what he believes in. Even when going through extremely frightening and confusing situations, he remembers that what he ought to do is remain calm. And he strives to satisfy this expectation, regardless of what his true feelings might be.
