The princess in the story <em>The Lady, or the Tiger </em>is torn between love and jealousy. The man who dared loved someone of higher status than him like the princess will be tried in the arena so his fate will be decided depending on his choice. There would be two doors, one door comes a tiger and the other is lovely woman. It depends on the princess as to which door will she tell her lover. Is is the door of death or the door towards another woman.
