Answer:

The correct answer is A. The Truman Doctrine was designed to contain Communism where it was and prevent it from spreading to other nations.

Explanation:

The Truman Doctrine is a foreign policy program announced by US President G. Truman after World War II in a speech to Congress on March 12, 1947.

It formulated the policy of “containment” in relation to Soviet Communism in the whole world. It was aimed at revising the system of international relations that had formed under Roosevelt. Truman Doctrine was aimed at the struggle of the United States and its supporters for the political and economic unipolarity of the world.

The “Truman Doctrine” was aimed at limiting the growth of the forces of socialism that intensified after World War II, exerting continuous pressure on the USSR and other totalitarian countries, and supporting democratic forces and regimes.

Critical Thinking question:
Elan Coil [88]

Answer:

Clark sees the Lakota people as savages not only because he considers their way of living as less developed than his own, but because the racist organization of the society was a requirement for the colonialist endeavor.

Explanation:

Although assimilation was the official government policy, the natives never really got the promised chance to preserve their way of life as long as they could adapt to new demands. The real goal was to take the natives' lands, and that could only be accomplished by spreading paternalistic and racist ideas such as the belief that the natives were savages.

Why was the Norwegian heavy water sabotage necessary, do you agree with the saboteurs' motives?
lapo4ka [179]
It was necessary to stop the Nazis being able to gain the deuterium oxide from hard water which could be used to create Nuclear weapons. I agree, as from what we seen how fast and destructive the force was against Japan. If the Nazis gained these weapons Britian would have defenitly been destroyed as well as Russia, meaning the only threat would be America who would be out numberd by a lot.
