The four have molecular similarities, but have their own unique traits. The tree indicates that there was a common ancestor (the V at the base). Biomolecular differences are the basis for each branch, but there are similarities between all four organisms. The branches support the idea that each organism has unique traits as determined by their unique DNA and amino acid sequences.

Well if they were identical to their parent plants then the plants reproduced asexually (asexual reproduction) meaning that the offspring came from one parent making the offspring have the same genetic make up, like clones
