The correct answer is C. The plant that was brought by traders from Asia into Europe in the 1400s is Tea.

Tea came into contact with Europeans for the first time in India, when the Portuguese came to it in 1497, since in India the use of tea was widespread.

The first shipment of tea had to arrive at Amsterdam (the Netherlands) towards 1610, on the initiative of the Dutch Company of the East Indians. In France the new drink does not appear until 1635 or 1636. In England, black tea arrives through the Netherlands and the coffee growers in London who made it fashionable around 1657. The consumption of tea only gained notoriety, in Europe, in the years 1720-1730. Then began a direct traffic between China and Europe. By this time, even consumption in Europe was minimal and almost exclusive to the Netherlands and England. France consumed very little, Germany preferred coffee and Spain was even less enthusiastic. But, with time and with the help of European merchants, the tea reached the whole world, both for its cultivation and for its consumption.
