If his car were stolen by two white men then he would comment on it and call them criminals, but if he consented in this situation, he would either be labeled a racist for calling them criminals, or he would try to be lenient and be labeled inept. he should have been less secretive and if asked any questions say that he had his car stolen and the perpetrators are being dealt with.
