The sound devices illustrated in the examples are the following:

1. In the first example, the device used is Onomatopoeia. This device consists of imitating the sound of a word, in this case the word <em>crash</em>.

2. The device used in the second example is Assonance. Assonance occurs when a vowel sound is repeated in a phrase or sentence. In this sentence, the repetition is present in the words troll, coal, mole and pole.

3. In the last example, the device used is Alliteration. This device consists of the repetition of the initial sound in words within a phrase or sentence. In the example, the repetition can be seen in the words David, Dudsen, didn’t, dive, down and deep.
