Ultra violet rays (taking pictures of the sun or any type of bright lights) water damage, sand, and a lot of lens damage such as smudges anf cracks can really damage a camera

Water, shock, and dirt

Explanation: Dirt can get on the lens and create lines on your photo. Shock could damage the inside of the camera or the camera could break. Water can get inside the camera and mess up the inside.
