Confucianism's four-class system established a hierarchy of occupational classification and was considered a central part of the social structure. The four classes were the "shi" (gentry scholars), the "nong" (peasant farmers), the "gong" (artisans and craftsmen) and the "shang" (merchants and traders), but the four classes were not always arranged in that order.

Anyways, the shi (gentry scholars) were a knightly social order on top of the hierarchy, pretty similar to european lower nobility. They were distinguished by the right to ride chariots and comand battles from them while they served civil functions.

Which statement most likely displays FDR’s reason to “pack the court”
telo118 [61]
The correct answer is <span>He wanted to reorganize the federal court system to uphold his New Deal agenda to get the judicial branch’s support.

FDR's idea to "pack the court" referred to his desire to appoint as many judges to the Supreme Court as possible. This was important because Supreme Court judges are responsible for deciding whether federal laws or policies are unconstitutional (illegal).

With this in mind, you could see why FDR wanted to "pack the court." He wanted as many judges as he could to uphold his New Deal programs, even if they did expand the role of the federal government in American society.
