Describe two current social/cultural institutions or activities that show evidence of Enlightenment thinking (ex. an academic discipline, an industry, a social structure, a sport, a type of literature, an art form, etc.) What is it about your examples that appear to be influenced by the ideas of the Enlightenment?

One of the values of Enlightenment is tolerance, and tolerance is present in many current institutions

One example of tolerance is universities providing a sign language interpreter for Deaf students: this shows that they are inclusive of people with hearing impairments.

Another idea of Enlightenment is the empiricism in science - and I see the influence of this idea  in the methodology used for example in biology: all results have to be documented in detail.
