First he claims that the previous generations were the ones that were at the front of the industrial revolution and stuff. Basically he says we have always been the most technologically advanced (and he gives examples). Then he says that we should not stop being front especially in the space race. Also, he claims that we will fill space with 'instruments of knowledge and understanding' unlike other countries who will fill space with 'weapons with mass destruction'.
