11 4/5 because when you add 11 3/5, 15 1/5, and 9 2/5 together you get 36 1/5 and since you are cutting that much off you subtract that from 48 which is 11 4/5.

Answer:

11\frac{4}{5} inches

Step-by-step explanation:

John has a strip of wood that is 48 inches long.

He needs to cut three strips of wood that is

11\frac{3}{5} inches,  15\frac{1}{5} inches and  9\frac{2}{5} inches long.

The total length of strips he needed =  11\frac{3}{5} +  15\frac{1}{5} +  9\frac{2}{5}

=  \frac{58}{5} +  \frac{76}{5} +  \frac{47}{5}

=  \frac{58+76+47}{5}

=  \frac{181}{5}

=  36\frac{1}{5}

He used  36\frac{1}{5} inches to cut three strips.

Now the leftover piece = 48 -  36\frac{1}{5}

                                      = 48 -  \frac{181}{5}

                                      =  \frac{240-181}{5}

                                      =  \frac{59}{5}

                                      =  11\frac{4}{5}

The leftover piece would be  11\frac{4}{5} inches

SOMEONE, PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS PLSSSS
Stels [109]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

1. You can use the intercepts to graph the line. The graph of 2x + 3y = 12      crosses the x-axis at (6, 0), so its x-intercept is 6. The graph of 2x + 3y = 12  crosses the y-axis at (0, 4), so its y-intercept is 4.

2. Point-Slope Form: y - y1 = m(x - x1)

Standard Form: ax + by = c

5x - 2y = 10

-2y = -5x + 10

y = (5/2)x - 5    The slope is 5/2.

y - 2 = (-5/2)(x - 10)

y = (-5/2)x + 25 + 2

y = (-5/2)x + 27      The slope is -5/2.

y = (-5/2)x - 10     The slope is -5/2.
