A tropical rainforest climate is found at around 15 degrees to or from the equator, it is almost always raining (hence the name) so it doesn't have a dry season.
There are seven major (bigger) tectonic plates: African Plate, North American Plate, Pacific Plate, Eurasian Plate, Antarctic Plate, Indo-Australian Plate, South American Plate
There are also 10 minor plate such as the Nazca Plate and the Scotia Plate - so a total of 17 plates.
I would say it is better ways of predicting hurricanes and automobiles that use no fossil fuels.
