TIME REMAINING 29:54 Read Edward Corsi's quotation from the book Inimigrant Kids by Russell Freedman. How does this quotation ad

d credibility to Freedman's statement that the immigrants never forgot seeing the Statue of Liberty for the first time? Edward Corsi, who later became United States Commissioner of Immigration, was a ten-year-old Italian immigrant when he sailed into New York harbor in 1907 Giuseppe and I held tightly to Stepfather's hands, while Liberta and Helvetia clung to Mother. Passengers all about us were crowding against the rail. Jabbered conversations, sharp cries, laughs and cheers - a steadily rising din filled the air Mothers and fathers lifted up babies so that they too could see, off to the left, the Statue of Liberty O It adds credibility because it comes from a worker on the ship who sailed past the Statue of Liberty. It adds credibility because it comes from an immigrant who actually shares his memories of seeing the Statue of Liberty It adds credibility because it comes from a historian who studied immigrants and the Statue of Liberty O It adds credibility because it comes from a journalist who researchegh the Statue of Liberty

Which meter is used in these lines from Shakespeare's Sonnet 18?
photoshop1234 [79]

We know it is iambic because we are able to stress every other syllable.

Just a little hint: Not all, but most poems are written in iambic. Even a lot of pop songs now-a-days are written in iambic meter  ;)

I believe Shakespeare had about 150 sonnets and only a few were not written in iambic. Crazy.

kap26 [50]

Answer:

She reports what others say and considers why they disagree.

Explanation:

In her closing note, Frank wrote of how others observe her, portraying herself as “a bunch of differences.” She wrote: “As I've explained you many moments, I'm broken in two. One side includes my enthusiastic optimism, my rudeness, my happiness in life, and, above all, my capacity to welcome the brighter side of things.

Read the excerpt from “The Railroad Earth.”
larisa86 [58]

The answer is: minimal punctuation.

After reviewing the excerpt from “The Railroad Earth” by Jack Kerouac you can validate that there are no verses repeated, all the words used in this passage existed, no one was invented by Kerouac, in this part of the story it was not included any dialogue and there is only one comma used in all the lines, this shows Kerouac minimal punctuation style.
