History

The Nile provided the Egyptians with a great opportunity for communication and transportation.

Explanation:

 • The river flows northwards and provides ease of navigation in this direction, while at the same time the main winds blow southward, which provides ships with the ability to navigate counter currents.
 • It is no wonder, then, that the name of the gift of the Nile is added to ancient Egypt, as Herodotus mentioned it.
 • Egypt was much more isolated than other ancient civilizations, especially those in Mesopotamia.
 • It is surrounded on two sides by a desert, which by its characteristics serves as a natural barrier of defense, and on the upper course of the Nile, its cataracts, or rapids, begin, and intrusion on this side is difficult.
 • As a result of such isolation, Egyptian civilization could evolve more freely without fear of invaders, or the mixing of cultures that characterized the civilizations of Mesopotamia, but at the same time developed a strong xenophobia (fear of foreign influence) among Egyptians.

gregori [183]
This is a true or false question and the correct answer here is that this statement is in fact false.

Here we are talking about the United States of America and the their long policy of isolationism did not increase but it did in fact end. The US had long fallowed the Washington's advice of non-interference and the Monroe Doctrine but the WWI and the WWII forced the US to take more active role in the world politics and affairs.

larisa [96]

The correct answer is C) cities.

In the Desert Valley, the poet says that the villagers will either go to America or to crowded, corrupted cities.

In the Desert Valley, the villagers are driven from their home because the enclosure acts have enabled a wealthy landowner to buy the public property. The people from the Valley were forced to leave their places and go to America. That is the reason why the valley became desert. The Poet also refers that the people of England were too corrupted by wealth.
