Read the passage from "The Crab That Played with the Sea.” "‘You are lazy,’ said the Eldest Magician. ‘So your children shall be

lazy. They shall be the laziest people in the world. They shall be called the Malazy—the lazy people;’ and he held up his finger to the Moon and said, ‘O Fisherman, here is the Man too lazy to row home. Pull his canoe home with your line, Fisherman.’" How does repetition affect the narrator's tone? Repetition of the word lazy makes the tone angry. Repetition of the word lazy makes the tone humorous. Repetition of the word Fisherman makes the tone playful. Repetition of the word Fisherman makes the tone serious.

The fact that the magician repeats the word "lazy" so much <em>should give the story a humorous tone</em>. He even names Man's children in a humorous way "<u>the Malazy</u>". We can even assume he was <u>wordplaying with Malaysia</u>, the country. This supports the idea that the <em>Eldest Magician had a really good sense of humour. </em>

In the light of this, the correct answer is "Repetition of the word lazy makes the tone humorous".

Which of the following is a run-on sentence? A. Marvin bought the house next to us. He moved in yesterday. B. Marvin bought the
Trava [24]
I don't believe that any of these are run-on sentences. This is because they all possess some form of punctuation, which creates a small to moderate oause in the sentence, allowing for the person reading to breathe in between, and preventing a run-on sentence.
