If you hold your hand up signifying your wish to speak, your nonverbal communication is____ your verbal interaction.
Oxana [17]

Answer: If you hold your hand up signifying your wish to speak, your nonverbal communication is regulating your verbal interaction.

Explanation:

 • The term nonverbal communication, needless to say, refers to our gestures and body language which we employ to communicate without using language.
 • Nonverbal communication often interacts with our verbal messages. This interaction can happen in six different ways: repeating, conflicting, complementing, substituting, regulating and accenting/moderating.
 • In this particular case, nonverbal behavior is regulating our conversation. Holding our hand up, or, for instance, touching someone's arm indicates that we want to speak next or need to interrupt the other speaker.
