Answer:

False

Step-by-step explanation:

Whole numbers and irrational numbers are different set of numbers and they don't cross or overlap, therefore no whole number can be part of irrational numbers set

10. An arithmetic sequence has this recursive formula. What is the explicit formula?
Mrrafil [7]

Answer:

a_{n}=45-3n

Step-by-step explanation:

Method 1:

Arithmetic sequence is in the form

a_{n} =a_{1} +(n-1)d\\

d is the common difference, can be found by:

d=a_{n}-a_{n-1}=-3

Subtituting the a_{1} and d

You get:

a_{n}=42+(-3)(n-1)=45-3n

Method 2 (Mathematical induction):

Assume it is in form a_{n}=45-3n

Base step: a_{1} =45-3(1)=42

Inducive hypophesis: a_{n}=45-3n

GIven: a_{n+1} =a_{n}-3

a_{n+1}=45-3n-3=45-3(n+1)

Proved by mathematical induction

a_{n}=45-3n

Just general definitons:

a TRInomial has 3 terms (tri means three)
a BInomial has 2 terms (bi means two)
a MONOmial has 1 term (mono means one)

the degree is the highest exponent found in the algebraic expression

so they should be pretty easy to solve with that information, but just in case:

1. trinomial, degree of 4
2. binomial, degree of 3
3. monomial, degree of 2

for the final question, all you have to do is plug in 2 for x, so

(2)^2 - 2(2) + 1

4 - 4 + 1

so the answer is 1

Find the values of the apple, banana and lollypop below.<br><br> Pls help
maks197457 [2]

Answer:

a= Apple = 3

b= Banana =5

v= Lollypop=1

Step-by-step explanation:

36 is divided into 2 giving us 18

Let apple=a

Banana=b

Lollypop=c

In the first half

An apple + 3 bananas=18

a+3b=18 (1)

Second half is further divided into 2

That is,

18÷2=9

First half of the second half

3apples=9

3a=9 (2)

Second half of the second half

1 apple + 1 banana + 1 lollypop=9

a+b+c=9 (3)

a+3b=18 (1)

3a=9 (2)

a+b+c=9 (3)

From (2)

3a=9

Divide both sides by 3

a=9/3

a=3

Substitute a=3 into 1

a+3b=18

3+3b=18

3b=18-3

3b=15

Divide both sides by 3

b=15/3

=5

b=5

Substitute the value of a and b into (3)

a+b+c=9

3+5+c=9

8+c=9

c=9-8

c=1

Therefore,

a= Apple = 3

b= Banana =5

v= Lollypop=1
