Tain't no valedictorian. I'll give you that. But I'm certainly not the loser my step-father Johnnie likes to think I am, either.

Mr.
oh-so-famous local Johnnie Pipehead of "Johnnie on the Spot Plumbing." (Real clever name, huh?) Just because he only took the
requisite twelve years to make it through school and graduate from his alma mater, and I took slightly longer that doesn't make
me a loser. So what if I took the road less traveled by and added a one-year, scenic detour to my journey--thanks to Algebra,
Physical Science, and well...Latin. Did I mention Chemistry? Let's just say I liked Latin but Latin didn't much care for me. Just
because I took thirteen years in all to get out of Melancholy High with a diploma doesn't make me some loser. Being nothing at
all, now THAT would make me a loser.

alex41 [277]
How would you personally feel if you were to know someone was going to get captured? Think about that and chose the most wise answer would you be angry? Scared? But also it needs to have more context because I don’t know Butch Cassidy and his character or her. You can cross of amused for sure though.

Values that you think are common in American culture. Describe each value and where you think the value comes from, and explain
Zepler [3.9K]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

I think the values that are common in American culture are the following.

I think the most important one is freedom. Freedom is one of the better-known characteristics of the United States around the world. "The land of the free," as it is said in the US National Hymn. This means so much for the American people and can be considered as a foundation of the country.

Another value is competition. American people are very competitive in many areas. And this can be shown in sports, for instance. American Olympic team always finish in the first or second place in the Olympic games in total medals, and gold medals. This value came from the first American colonies and the need to compete to survive.

Other values are perseverance and hard work to be wealthy. The goal that every American aspires for. Through hard work, US citizens know that they can be rich if they commit themselves to hard work and perseverance.
