Answer:

Mechanical digestion begins in the mouth as the food is chewed. Chemical digestion involves breaking down the food into simpler nutrients that can be used by the cells.

Explanation:

Chemical digestion begins in the mouth when food mixes with saliva. Saliva contains an enzyme (amylase) that begins the breakdown of carbohydrates.

Answer:

relaxed packaging of the chromatin and increased transcription.

Explanation:

Genetics can be defined as the scientific study of hereditary in living organisms such as humans, animals and plants.

A nucleotide can be defined as an organic molecule which forms the building block of nucleic acid such as deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) and ribonucleic acid (RNA).

Basically, nucleotide comprises of the following parts;

1. Nitrogenous base: this includes adenine (A), thymine (T), guanine (G), and cytosine (C) which are mainly found in the DNA while adenine (A), guanine (G), uracil (U) and cytosine (C) are found in the RNA.

2. A phosphate group.

3. A penrose sugar: it is either deoxyribose in DNA or ribose in RNA.

The two parts or chemical components of a nucleotide which do not change throughout the structure of DNA are;

I. Five-Carbon Sugar also known as deoxyribose and it has hydrogen on its second carbon.

II. Phosphate: this is the structural backbone that provides support to DNA.

Histones are a group of highly basic proteins that are mainly associated with deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) in the nucleus of a living organism and are responsible for condensing it to chromatin.

Typically, acetylation of histone tails leads to relaxed packaging of the chromatin and increased transcription.

Transcription can be defined as a process which typically involves re-writing the informations contained within a Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) into a Ribonucleic Acid (RNA) by enzyme RNA polymerase.

what is the resistance of a car light bulb that conducts 0.025 A current when connected to a 12 V car accumulator? Is the curren
tangare [24]

Answer:

R = 480 Ohm

Yes, the current is steady since the power supply is a constant 12V (comming from the battery).

Explanation:

U=I*R

R = U / I

U = 12 V

I = 0.025 A

R = 12 / 0.025

R = 480 Ohm

Which of the following is not an observation or inference on which natural selection is based?
Sholpan [36]

Answer:

 • Option-(B): The following is not an observation or inference on which natural selection is based is the characteristics of a poorly adapted individuals which can never produce offspring.

Explanation:

 • The idea of natural selection basically follows the analyses of the heritable characters which passes from one generation into another, having the specific set of data or genome been transferred into there descendants. And how each specie goes through the process of survival in order to have more chances to acquire the required natural resources and shelter for them selves inside a region or area.

Fudgin [204]

Answer:

True.

Explanation:

Lymphatic system is one of the most important system of the body that carries the lymph fluid towards the heart. This system plays an important role in the body immune system.

The pressure in the lymph vessels are very low. The movement of adjacent tissue in the lymph is important to propel it through the lymphatics. The intrinsic or extrinsic compression are important for the lymph flow.

Thus, the correct answer is True.
