This period of war was so frightening that it put a great impact on the whole population. People were unable to cope with the war situation for four long years. Their physical and mental states destroyed. There were a lot of after effects of this war. Above mentioned writers were from this era and they are called the lost generation because they had trouble adjusting to life in the postwar era.
