Recent studies suggest that we yawn when we get tired as a way to encourage our brains. The theory is that yawning helps cool th

e brain, allowing it to work more efficiently. According to WebMD's article about these studies, when you yawn, your jaw muscles get stretched, increasing blood flow to your neck, face, and head. Also a deep breath during the yawn forces spinal fluid and blood down from the brain. The cool air then cools down these fluids.
Which line shows the main idea of the bolded paragraph? We yawn when we get tired as a way to encourage our brains

Explain the difference between having implicit bias
bixtya [17]

Answer:

being implicit bias is a term that describes what's happening when, despite our best intentions and without our awareness, racial stereotypes and assumptions creep into our minds and affect our actions, there more like thought you didn’t  know you had. however being racist a person who shows or feels discrimination or prejudice against people of other races, or who strongly believes that a particular race is superior to another. in other words someone who deeply believes people should be discriminated based on their skin color. Implicit bias usually comes off as being racist however it’s not. being implicit bias comes from the messages, attitudes, and stereotypes we pick up from the world we live in, and research over time and from different countries shows that it tends to line up with general social hierarchies. the danger of confusing these two are being implicit biased you might come off racist, implicit biases are reactionary, volatile, largely under the radar of conscious awareness. They do not imply blanket racism.

hope this helped!

Read the excerpt from common sense, by thomas paine.
shtirl [24]
The sentence in the excerpt that includes the writer's personal opinion is 3. It was unfortunate that Paine called for action.
The other sentences are just plain facts, there are no opinions there, because they are objective. But sentence #3 clearly states what the author thinks about Paine's actions.
