Hello, During the civil war there was many different ways of communacation but here are the main or most know ways of communication used by soilders or other people for the team.

  • Balloons- Balloons were used for many reason through out the union army. From spying to communicating they used every bit of idea that they had. Ok but we were taking about how they used balloons as communacation, The union army used specifically hot air ballons to siganl if the opposing army was near. Now thats smart.

Here are other ways that the Union army used to communicate.

  • Siganl towers
  • Telegraphs
  • Flags

Angelina Grimke and her sister, Sarah Grimke worked for women's rights after a career as antislavery lecturers.
