Intracranial pressure (ICP) can be explained or described as the pressure that is being exerted by cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) or other fluids, on the brain tissue in the skull.

It becomes an increased intracranial pressure when there is a  rise in pressure of the cerebrospinal fluid, CSF. This is because, the Cerebrospinal fluid is the fluid surrounding the brain and the spinal cord.

In this case, it should be noted that, headaches are a clinical manifestation of increased ICP in children. And a change in  the child's normal behavior pattern may be an important early sign of increased  intracranial pressure.
