fenix001 [56]
Similes compare two things. Because clowns are considered by most to be very funny, the object would also have to be something funny.
Therefore you could say...

A clown is as funny as a medieval joker.
A clown is as funny as a cat barking like a dog.

What are tree of the musical moods described in the third and fourth stanzas of Jazz Fantasia?
Nutka1998 [239]
As regards the third stanza, it might be said that the mood might be sad or loneliness and kind of violent. Words such as "moan", "lonesome", "cry" might give the impression of solitude and deep sadness. On the other hand, words lie "bang-bang", "fight" "scratch" might reveal some violence that could be connected to the feelings previously mentioned.

the fourth stanza seems to change the mood, where the Mississippi river and the that lights , the starts and the hills might give a sensation of a nice voyage, contemplation of nature. words such as "soft" "green" appeared to portray a nice scenario.

This excerpt clearly shows that the scar that character attained in the past still has an influence on his life. The character feels the presence of the scar as if it was freshly got, and all this descriptive language stands as a metaphor of symbolic meaning of people's scars in their life and fate.
