Increased sectional divisions between the North and the South
Hello!
WW2 affected "today" and the way we live in many ways. I'll list a few examples of how it did so below:
• WW2 gave us the word "genocide".
That's right! The word was invented by a Polish-German guy named Raphael Lemkin in 1944. That is the term he used for that year. Until WW2, the word had not existed.
• WW2 gave us the first computer!
The Colossus was the first electronic, digital computer, and it was developed during WW2 by British Codebreakers. Guess we could thank them for our electronic devices!
• WW2 improved the Radar
It is because of radar technology that we are able to use microwaves and eat more conveniently. Also, the Titanic was found on the bottom of the ocean, all thanks to radar! The movie also exists just because of the radar, and WW2!
