The answer is that 103 math books were sold and 309 biology books were sold because if you multiply 103 by 3 you will get 309 but then you will still need to add the 103 that we found in the first place which would all add up to 412

Is there a trick to find?
tigry1 [53]

Answer:

I don't believe so

Step-by-step explanation:

generally for fractions, you can start by simplifying

to simplify divide the numerator and denominator by a common factor

in this case, there is no common factor, so this either your answer or you can divide 729 by 4096 to get a decimal number (0.118)

Does the following infinite geometric series diverge or converge? Explain. 1/5+1/25+1/125+1/625
BaLLatris [955]
The given data contains points which are 1/5, 1/25, 1/125, and 1/625. From these we are able to conclude that the given is a geometric sequence with r equal to 1/5 and the first term is equal to 1/5. The sum of these term can be computed as,
                          S = a1/(1 - r)
Solving,
                          S = ((1/5)/(1 - 1/5) = 1/4
Thus, the sequence is convergent because the sum is a finite number.
