The difference between active and passive cellular transport is that active transport requires energy for the ions and molecules to move across the cell membrane whereas passive cellular transport does not an energy input.

What would be the percentage of the non-singing trait in female birds in Generations 4 and 5 if this pattern continues?
EleoNora [17]

Answer:

The percentage of the non-singing trait in female birds in Generations 4 and 5 if this pattern continues will be 80 and 94

Explanation:

The percentage of the singing trait in female birds in Generations an 5 if, the pattern continues, is 26 and 18 respectivelyFor the non-singing females, we can see that 8 was added to the first term to get the second term. 10 was added to the second to get the third

For the 4th term, 12 will be added to the third term;

T4 = 68 + 12

T4 = 80

For the 5th term, 14 will be added to the fourth term;

T5 = 80 + 14

T5 = 94

Hence the percentage of the non-singing trait in female birds in Generations 4 and 5 if this pattern continues will be 80 and 94

4. In humans and all creatures constructed of eukaryotic cells, the DNA always resides in the .
Lady_Fox [76]

Answer:

Nucleus (as nuclear DNA),mitochondrial(mitochondrial DNA) and chloroplasts.

DNA is packed tightly around protein called Histones, in Eukaryotes cells;so that many molecules can easily be held together as chromosomes.

Chromosomes are thread-like structure in nucleus of cells.The histones provide support to the DNA molecule

The part DNA molecule coded for by a polypeptide is GENE, therefore in the nucleus of cells, DNA contains GENE,and the gene and DNA are packed in chromosomes,DNA appears as circular DNA mitochondria

Match the cell organelle to the organ or organ system in your body that does the same job.

Nervous System - Nucleus - control (responding to certain neurotransmitters by allowing transcription factors to be formed) Respiratory System - Plasma Membrane (alveoli allow certain particles into the cells but want to keep contaminants out) Reproductive System - Nucleus - DNA (determines in part the genome and developmental process of the offspring) Digestive System - Mitochondria (want full redox reaction to occur in the organelle based on nutrients extracted from food) Integumentary System - Cytoskeleton (for support as well as in the construction of the basal lamina) Musculoskeletal System - Endomembrane System (think about the sarcoplasmic reticulum and the effect of increased surface area when calcium is released) Circulatory System - Passive Transport (through capillaries especially)
