On January 16, 1917, in a clear attempt to convince the Mexican government to help Germany in the war, Arthur Zimmermann, the Ge

rman foreign secretary, sent a telegram to Count von Bernstorff, the German ambassador in Washington. The foreign secretary wanted to be certain that this message reached von Bernstorff, so he made arrangements for it to be carried aboard a U-boat to Sweden and from there to Washington through diplomatic channels. As luck would have it, the departure of the sub was delayed. Impatient, Zimmermann turned to his second option: sending the message to his ambassador through the U.S. State Department. Although Wilson considered the United States to be neutral, he allowed messages to be sent to von Bernstorff via the State Department as a courtesy. The telegram sent, Zimmermann waited for a reply. What Zimmermann didn't know was that the British were doing a thorough job of intercepting German wireless transmissions. Why did Zimmermann choose to send the message through the U.S. State Department?

Zimmermann sent the message through the U.S. State Department because he considered the U.S. to be neutral.

This means that he considered the U.S. to be unbiased in the situation, a neutral party who would not take sides in the matter. By choosing a neutral party, he believed the State Department would deliver the message without delay.

Answer:

A person often fills several different roles in life

Explanation:

Taking into account the excerpt of the text provided, we can affirm that the correct option is A, since in the example you can see a woman who occupies several roles in life, such as mother and wife. This is because in life in society, people usually have to fulfill more than one role to be able to relate, usually people have a role within their family and another in social life as being a mother and worker.

My personal opinion is that this part pf the poem is about war. It mentions soldiers, and deputies and also mentions “America singing” Sometimes when soldiers went to war they would sing the national anthem and other american tunes while marching to battle.

Which plot element is illustrated in the Wife of Bath's story when the scene is set in Arthurian times?
alexandr1967 [171]

Answer:

It's option D.  the exposition

Explanation:

The Exposition is similar to the “setting” part of a story. It provides you with background information about the story or characters. It also explains the begging of a story. In your case, we are being told that the setting is in Arthurian times and this itself, is the exposition as we are being “exposed” to the time period of the story.
