The Agulhas current is a warm current located in the southwestern ocean and flows along the east coast of Africa form 27 to 40° S. It has a source lies in eastern Madagascar current and follows the continental shields. Large cyclic meanders called natal pulses are formed by the current when it reaches the continental shelf.
