Answer:

Jamestown and Plymouth were the first  two permanent English settlement

in the Americas

Explanation:

Jamestown and Plymouth were the first  two permanent English settlement

in the Americas. The former being the first  and the latter the second one.

They were both settled in Indian territory,  although under different circumstances. Also,  They are both linked to the Thanksgiving  holiday;  Thanksgiving celebration was practiced as early as  1607 in Jamestown Virginia, but it wasn´t until  December 4 of 1619, after the arrival of English

settlers to Virginia, that the first official  Thanksgiving day was celebrated, in accordance to  the London Company´s request. However, the most well known  Thanksgiving event in American history was the 1621 celebration

at the Plymouth Plantation, as a celebration for a successful  harvest and growing season. Finally, both settlements contributed  much to modern American law, religion, government, customs and language.

Comparing and Contrasting Review the notes you took throughout the lesson. Then write a paragraph that analyzes the ways Madison
Svetllana [295]

Answer:

Alexander Hamilton belonged to the Federalist Party, which supported the idea of a strong central government. He thought that the federal government should be able to keep a strong army and navy, to raise taxes, and to have good relations with Great Britain.

James Madison was on the opposite side. He was a member of the Democratic-Republican Party. This party favored a weak central government, and favored state and local power.

The biggest rift between Hamilton and Madison came when the issue of a federal bank came up in Congress. Hamilton wanted to create a Central Bank to take on the debts of the states, and to fund future programs and armies, Madison, as anti-federalist, naturally opposed this idea.

This rift was solved with the Compromise of 1790. The southerners, including James Madison, agreed to the creation of a national bank in exchange for having the new capital in southern territory (Washington D.C.).

What did Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez do to anger United States leaders?
dangina [55]

Answer:

He nationalized the oil reserves and the rights for extraction of the oil.

Explanation:

Venezuela is a country that is very rich in oil, in fact it is the country that officially has the largest oil reserves in the world. Considering the fact that the oil is what brings in the majority of the income of this nation, plus the communist politics, Chavez nationalized all the oil reserves and the extraction of the same fall into the hands of the government. This angered the USA officials, as they are the biggest consumer of oil and always want to have control on the situation. Chavez though stood his ground, and that made the relations between the USA and Venezuela even worse, though in all fairness Venezuela has the right to do whatever it wants with its natural resources, so the USA has no right to tell them what to do or how should they do it.
