Feudalism was when there were serfs and they were poor and the lords the masters and it all happened because the lords wouldn't do the dirty work she they needed people and so they hired people (serfs) and they used them for labor. the poor people also needed work so it worked perfectly for a while and then the system began to fall with the black death and everything else.
