Jasmine's opportunity cost: "missing out on playing basketball".

As Jasmine has chosen to work in the supermarket, this should be the option that provides a higher benefit to her.

The opportunity cost is referred to the benefits you are missing out, related to the main alternative you have rejected in order to make your choice. In Jasmine's case this is represented by missing out the time she would have dedicated to basketball if she was not working in that supermarket.

Identify the causes of the rise of the Populist Party and the effects the party had.
Elodia [21]
The Populist Party or the People’s Party started in the 1890s. It started after the Civil War when the United States was rapidly shifting from an agrarian to an industrial economy. Farmers were facing challenges in selling their crops on a global market, gaining access to affordable credit, and dealing with huge debts. Farmers in the South and the West gathered and created a party to address these problems. It was done to challenge the status quo and to make the situation of rural families better.

According to the Buddha what happens when someone understands the true nature of suffering
lisabon 2012 [21]

In Buddhism the symbol of suffering is something more concrete than we Westerners have. It refers not so much to physical or moral pain, but to the feeling of "dissatisfaction" that accompanies most people almost 100% of the time.

The four noble truths dictate the following:

First truth

Life is full of suffering.

Second truth

Suffering is a consequence of affection. Since we cling to goals, things and people, we suffer when we make them unusable, but in reality everything is momentary.

Third truth

The stoppage of suffering is possible through detachment. It is necessary to renounce greed.

Fourth truth

The road to self-improvement is the eightfold path, a method that consists of moderating hedonistic gratification with ascetic self-denial; that is, choosing the right path and having the luminous wisdom as its purpose
