The similarity that both the Aztecs and the ancient Egyptians share is that they both built pyramids. The pyramids built by the ancient Egyptians were intended as tombs for the pharaohs. In general, Aztec  piramids were constructed more as shrines than tombs, although ocassionally some tombs have also been found at them.
