4/1 = 2/x...4 miles to 1 hr = 2 miles to x hrs
cross multiply because this is a proportion
(4)(x) = (1)(2)
4x = 2
x = 2/4 reduces to 1/2...so she can walk 2 miles in 1/2 hr (or 30 minutes)

Which of the following equations represents a line that passes through the points
Xelga [282]

Answer:

C) I only

Step-by-step explanation:

( -1, -2) and (0,4)

Slope:

m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

m=(4+2)/(0+1)

m=6/1

m=6

Slope-intercept:

y - y1 = m(x - x1)

y + 2 = 6(x + 1)

y + 2 = 6x + 6

y = 6x + 4

y - 16 = 6(x - 2)

y - 16 = 6x - 12

y = 6x + 4
