So if you divide 78 by six you get 13. 78/6=13
So we want x minus 6 to equal thirteen we have to make x a number that will equal 13 when we subtract 6. So we can just add 13+6 to get 19. And 19-6=13. So x=19, does that make sense?

A normal distribution has mean and standard deviation . Find the indicated probability for a randomly selected x-value from the
Wewaii [24]

Answer:

0.0228

Step-by-step explanation:

Let us assume that the mean (μ) = 2 and the standard deviation (σ) = 0.5

Z score is a standard score used to measure the number of standard deviations by which the raw score (x) is above or below the mean. It is given by the equation:

z=\frac{x-\mu}{\sigma}

For x > 3

z=\frac{x-\mu}{\sigma} =\frac{3-2}{0.5}=2

From the normal distribution table, P(x > 3) = P(z > 2) = 1 -  P(z < 2) = 1 - 0.9772 = 0.0228

2. 2x - y = 6,<br> - x + y = -1
allochka39001 [22]

Answer:

x = 5

y = 4

Step-by-step explanation:

just substitute the value of one variable into the other

-x +y = -1

or y = -1 +x   <-------- (i just added x to the right side)

now u know what y is equal to, just substitute that value into the first equation

2x - (-1+x) = 6     <-------- instead of y, i put the value of y from the 2 equation

NOW SOLVE FOR X!

2x +1 -x = 6

x + 1 = 6

x = 5

now solve for y since you have the value of x

y = -1 + x

or y = -1 + 5

y = 4

Please see attached image and help with these absolute value problems - thank you
Novay_Z [31]

Answer:

{-infinity, infinity}

no solution

Step-by-step explanation:

|x| +15≥4

Subtract 15 from each side

|x| +15-15≥4-15

|x| ≥-11

This is always true so x can be and real number

{-infinity, infinity}

-2|5x+3| = 8

Divide by -2

-2/-2|5x+3| = 8/-2

|5x+3| = -4

This can never happen because absolute values are zero or greater

no solution
