An unusual but in some styles besides the formal type of Rococo developed in France where Louis XIV's continuation instituted a variance in the court painters and prevailing aesthetic style. By the end of the king's continued reign, rich Baroque patterns were yielding way to moderate components with more curves and intrinsic exemplars. These components are explicit in the compositional patterns of Nicolas Pineau.
