Explanation:

Research differs from reading and studying for many reasons. Reading is typically done to entertain, inform, persuade, etc. Unlike studying, research is usually more thorough in its notes and information. Studying is what many people do to pass courses or to analyze documents. Research is a combination of both reading and studying but is more advanced in its analysis.

What type of affect was intended to occur with the use of term "boesman" towards colored South Africans?
Nina [5.8K]

Answer:

<u>meant to intimidate colored South Africans</u>

Explanation:

We can make this conclusion because the text explains further the reasons for the use of such a phrase. Trevor Noah stated<em>,</em>

<em>"The most common colored slur was boesman...Because it called out their blackness, their primitiveness. The worst way to insult a colored person was to infer that they were in some way black."</em>

Because colored South Africans were born from parents of two different races, (one parent is black the other white) the phrase was used to create an intimidating effect in the minds of those affected.

My friend, Desaha, and his sister went to their uncle's home.

Rearranging this phrase would be a little strange so I think what's best is to correct the grammar :)

"Every speech ought to be put together like a living creature with a body of its own, so as to be neither without head nor witho
lubasha [3.4K]

Answer:

A beautiful metaphor to explain the necessity of a solid but vivid structure and a logic order while writing a speech.

Explanation:

The idea of thihes metaphor, like all metaphors, is to visualize the topic - in this case writing a speech - in order to have a clearer idea on how to proceed.

Following this methaphor we could start with the head and introduce the topic in a few sentences of well selected words. When you move downwards to the middle and extremities you might go into some more details, using the arms and legs as a means of subdividing your topic.

Your feet, obviously, are important to keep you on the ground and not get lost in airy idealistic observations.

And remember, the human body is a perfect machine and very lively.
