In the desert of northern Arizona, the United States, Meteor Crater, also known as Barringer Crater, is a meteorite impact crater located about 37 miles (60 kilometres) east of Flagstaff and 18 miles (29 kilometres) west of Winslow.

The location has been known by a number of other names in the past, and the meteorite shards are officially referred to as the Canyon Diablo Meteorite after the nearby Caon Diablo. The feature got its name, "Meteor Crater," from the local post office with the name Meteor since the United States Board on Geographic.
