When we say biotechnology, what is done here is that biological processes are being exploited for the main purpose of industrial benefits such as the manipulation of antibiotics and hormones. But how this biotechnology becomes beneficial to the pharmaceutical industry is that it assists the industry in the production of effective medicines. The answer would be the first option.
