Compare and contrast bathing traditions in western Europe, Japan, and Southwest Asia.
olya-2409 [2.1K]

The bathing traditions across the world differ from one another, and there's always a good reason behind it.

Western Europe's bathing tradition is pretty much in the sense of avoiding the bathing as much as possible. People were going for months without bathing. The reason behind that were the diseases, such as the plague, and it was well known that the less hygienic someone is, the lesser the chances of getting a disease because the body will be more resistant.

In Japan, the bathing tradition was seen as a must, as the Japanese had in their culture that they should always be clean, smell nicely, but also it was an act of purifying. So the bathing in Japan, very often with nice smelling plants, was a common thing.

In Southeast Asia, people very bathing constantly, mostly in the rivers and lakes. The reason for that was neither beauty and prestige, nor threat of diseases, but it was practical. The region is hot, the humidity high, so people were and still are bathing multiple times during the day in order to cool off.

Katarina [22]

Answer:

During the years 1820-1850, the north and south had quite different daily lives. On the north side, working conditions were terrible as the factory system was developing. As the working conditions had worsened while the factory system was developing many people had lost their jobs which means they couldn't make money to help survive and raise their families. On the south side, cotton was extremely popular to them. Farming was the source of income and food to many people on the south side.

In a _____ form of government, the goods and services
kherson [118]

Answer:

That form of government is socialism.

Explanation:

Socialism is based off the concept of total harmony, the people usually share a  lot of benefits, which are often regulated by the government though. Sadly most socialist values are not reflected in their society as the usually end up flawed. Monarchies do not equally distribute power to the people. In free enterprise, private businesses compete for superiority and are not regulated strongly by the government. They don't share goods and services however, and do not relate to any system of power throughout the people. I hope this helps :)
