The wording of the question is somewhat unusual. Loan interest is usually figured each month on the remaining balance that month. In effect, it is compounded monthly. The wording "compounded annually" suggests a different scenario—one that is not supported by the answer choices.

If loan interest is only compounded annually, my "technology" tells me the monthly payment is $897.21. (See the first attachment. Note "compoundings per year" (C/Y) = 1.)

If loan interest is compounded monthly, as is the usual case, the monthly payment is $900.90. (See the second attachment. Note C/Y = 12.)

A manufacturer makes ball bearings out of molten steel. It takes 5.24 cubic centimeters of molten steel to make ? ball bearings
sammy [17]
<span>So we want to know how much ball bearings can be made with 5.24 cm^3 if one ball bearing has a diameter of 1 cm. We know that radius r=d/2=0.5cm So the volume V of one ball bearing is: V=(4/3)*pi*r^3 so V=(4/3)*3.14*(0.5)^3cm^3=0.524cm^3. Now we simply divide the volume of steel by the volume of the ball bearing: 5.24/0.524=10. So we can make 10 ball bearings from 5.24 cm^3 of steel</span>

What are the zero(s) of the function f(x) = the quantity of 5 x squared plus 25 x, all over x?
dimulka [17.4K]
The question is asking to calculate the zeros of the function f(x)=(5x^2+2x)/x, base on that and in my further calculation, the possible answer would be x=5. I hope you are satisfied with my answer and feel free to ask for more if you have questions and further clarifications
