Because by the end of a story the author must provide a resolution to the conflict. On every story, the conflict refers to the character's actions, problems or situations in which they are involved. After knowing the turning points in a story, an outcome is provided and finally the resolution of conflict that happens at the end of the story and shows how everything is solved and how it ends.
