I think one would have to do some research first on what is the main source of power for most of the inhabitants of a place is it hydo-electricity or say a coal-powered plant or a nuclear plant say. If it is hydro-power in itself this is probably a good thing as it is renewable as long as we decrease global warming so that the glaciers and snowfields which feed our reservoirs don't melt too fast or can accumulate in colder winters but also we should consider the new projects of the power company like the Site C dam in northern BC, Canada that will flood a very fertile valley and ancestral lands of the First Nations and even when that power is not necessary for quite a few years. Whether the power company is investigating other power sources like wind farms and making improvements to  such sources is also important.

You can start by listing all energy sources that are nonrenewable and by that you choose two. Start by describing them what your company has been doing and then search for ways on how to reduce their usage. What may be your suggestion, base on your research, that would still produce energy equal to that of the nonrenewable energy that they used.

Plant material that accumulates and hardens on the floor of a swamp is
Semenov [28]

Answer:

F Anthracite (the hardest coal)

Explanation:

Coal is a sedimentary rock that is formed from plant materials. These plant materials must have been trapped and compacted in an environment where they are not able decay. Such an environment is a swamp.

The first grade of coal that forms initially in such an environment is called PEAT. Peat is soft coal that still contains some plant materials. It has a high moisture content and the amount of carbon is still quite low.

With increasing pressure and compaction, PEAT grades into LIGNITE which has more carbon atoms in it. Lignite is more combustible although it is quite soft too. Lignite grades into SUB-BITUMINOUS coal and then BITUMIOUS coal.

The highest grade of coal is ANTHRACITE which is a hard coal. It has very little moisture content and rich carbon percentage in it. Anthracite yields more energy compared to other forms of coal. Anthracite is basically coal that forms at the greastest pressure. Beyond this pressure, a metamorphic transformation occurs and the coals changes to graphite.

Based on increasing pressure:

PEAT< LIGNITE< BITUMINOUS COAL < ANTHRACITE
