Naeem's condition is most indicative of a severed spinal cord.

A spinal cord injury refers to the destruction of the spinal cord, which results in permanent or temporary modifications in its activity. The signs may involve the loss of sensation, loss of muscle function, or loss or autonomic function in the segments of the body served by the spinal cord below the injury level.

In case, when the spinal cord is totally severed, all the movement and feeling beneath the injury level is instantly cut off. The spinal cord would not get heal on its own and can't be repaired by the surgeons. However, the nerves that provide the movement and feeling in the arms and legs, that is, the peripheral nerves can be repaired.

Answer:

The correct answer is - severed spinal cord.

Explanation:

Severed spinal cord injury occurs due to the injury or accident that leads to the complete spinal cord damage. Spinal cord establishes the communication between the body and brain but due to the injury it cuts the communication. All function related to the motor and sensory neurons stops due to this condition.

Naeem must have severed the spinal cord as he is not able to feel or sense the genital area which is paraplegic. This also leads to paralysis in severe cases.

Thus, the correct answer is - severed spinal cord.

Excitatory neurotransmitters influence the receiving neuron to _____, whereas inhibitory neurotransmitters influence the receivi
Viktor [21]

Excitatory neurotransmitters cause the neuron to fire, and Inhibitory neurotransmitters cause the neuron not to fire.

Impulses are the signals passed from one neuron to another on the action of a stimulus. The impulses passed can be electrical or chemical. Neurotransmitters are the chemical molecules that help in the transfer of impulses between two neurons.

Chemicals like epinephrine, norepinephrine, and glutamate when released from the synaptic cleft of one neuron activate the receptors of other neurons, thereby initiating the other neuron to fire. These chemicals are called excitatory neurotransmitters.

Chemicals like GABA and glycine, when released from the synaptic cleft of one neuron do not activate the receptors of other neurons and hence the neurons will not fire the impulse. These chemicals are called inhibitory neurotransmitters.

A milk snake looks similar to the deadly coral snake. This is an example of A) warning coloration adaptive radiation B) cryptic
Damm [24]
In this case, c) mimicry is the answer. In Batesian mimicry in which harmless animals mimic toxic animals. In this case, I assume the milk snake is harmless and the coral snake is venomous. Since the milk snake has a trait similar to deadly coral snake, less animals would eat it thinking it is dangerous. Over time all the milk snake that look like the deadly coral snake would survive leading to evolution by natural selection. This would lead to more and more milk snake mimicking the resemblance of the deadly coral snake.

a) The deadly coral snake has a warning color adaptive radiation. If the question had described the environment and how the snaked adapted to the environment via warning coloration. This would've been correct.

b) cryptic coloration is more about camouflage with the environment. If the question had state how a certain feature help one of the animals blend into the background. This would've been correct.

d) I'm not sure whats different between this and a so i'll consider them both the same.
