Alright, for example 3/6. What goes into 3? Nothing (besides 3)! What goes into 6? 2 does because 2x3 is 6. 1x3 is 3 so your multiplying 3 by itself, and you get 1/2. My response is a bit confusing but i hope you understand it.

Answer:

1. Break down both the numerator (top number) and denominator (bottom number) into their prime factors. For example, suppose you want to reduce the fraction 12/30.

2. Cross out any common factors.

3. Multiply the remaining numbers to get the reduced numerator and denominator.

1. ABCD is a parallelogram. Find the value of x.
Deffense [45]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Since, it is given that ABCD is a parallelogram, therefore opposite angles of parallelogram are equal, hence

∠B=∠D

⇒7x-31=5x+13

⇒2x=44

⇒x=22

Hence, option B is correct.

2. Since, we get x=22, therefore

∠B=7x-31=7(22)-31=154-31=123°

∠B=123°

and ∠D=5x+13=5(22)+13=123°

∠D=123°

Also, ∠A+∠D=180°(corresponding angles)

⇒∠A=180-123

⇒∠A=57°

Now, ∠A=∠C=57°(opposite angles of parallelogram)

thus, Two of the angles measure 57°, and the other two measure 123°.

Therefore, option A is correct.

Gabriella and Ming are selling cookie dough for a school fundraiser. Customers can buy packages of white chocolate chip cookie d
soldier1979 [14.2K]

9514 1404 393

Answer:

  • white chocolate chip: $17
  • gingerbread: $19

Step-by-step explanation:

We can let x and y represent the costs of packages of white chocolate chip and gingerbread cookie dough, respectively. Then the two sales can be represented by ...

  11x +2y = 225

  8x +10y = 326

__

There are several ways a system of equations like this can be solved. One of my favorites is to use a graphing calculator (see attached).

We can also use substitution. We see that the coefficients of y are simply related, so we can use ...

  2y = 225 -11x . . . . from equation 1

  8x +5(2y) = 326 . . . rearrange equation 2

  8x +5(225 -11x) = 326 . . . . substitute for 2y

  -47x +1125 = 326 . . . . simplify

  799 = 47x . . . . . . . add 47x-326

  17 = x . . . . . . . . . . . divide by 47

  2y = 225 -11(17) = 38

  y = 19 . . . . . . divide by 2

The package costs are ...

  white chocolate chip dough: $17

  gingerbread dough: $19.
