The correct answer is - Giuseppe Mazzini.

Giuseppe Mazzini is one of the most important figures in the more recent Italian history. He was a revolutionary activist, politician, and a person that gave his best to unify the country. He was the founder of the Young Italy movement in 1831, a movement that got a large support and popularity in Italy, eventually leading to unification of the country.

Until the 19th century, Italy was divided into multiple small states, some of which under large foreign influence. Mazzini wanted to unite all of the states, push away the foreign influence, and see the country being a large, single, strong unit. His goals were achieved, and Italy did unite, also implementing his political philosophies which were later adopted by numerous Western politicians, but also independence activists around the world.
