The correct answer is:

The encomienda system subjected native peoples to forced labor.

The greatest distinction of the Spanish colonies was the encomienda system, which subjected Native Americans to forced labor.

The encomienda was a Spanish labor system which, unlike the English or French, exploited the Indians for personal profits instead of using slaves imported from Africa. It rewarded conquerors with the labor of particular groups of subject people in the Spanish colonization of the Americas and the Philippines

Research a current immigration issue. Explain what the issue is. Then describe push and pull factors, the effect of globalizatio
spayn [35]

A current immigration issue is the lack of legalization in the process, which can mean the lack of greater opportunities and quality of life for immigrants.

What are the factors driving immigration?

The push factor is the difficulty of establishing a dignified life in their countries of origin due to factors such as social inequality and wars, for example.

The pull factors for immigration in a new country are the search for opportunities and better quality of life, such as the search for work and education.

Globalization has boosted immigration by increasing interaction between countries, creating global villages in the search for better life opportunities.

Therefore, in order to solve immigration problems, greater governmental efforts and the dissemination of information through public opinion are necessary for the greater dignity of the immigrant.

Which was the last attempt at compromise before Southern secession?
andrew-mc [135]
Secession

Aside from the firing on Fort Sumter, secession was the last cause in an unfortunate series of events that led the nation to the Civil War. Southern secessionist reasoned that they had the constitutional right to back out of the union that they had only joined as a league of friendship in opposition to the British in the American Revolution. The U.S. Constitution had replaced the articles of Confederation but did not codified that status of states insubordination to the federal government clearly enough to avoid differing interpretations. South Carolina led the way out of the United States and February 1861. Abraham Lincoln said the states had no right to leave the union or to take the mouth of the Mississippi River with them. They six states that followed South Carolina met in Montgomery Alabama to write a new constitution for a new country, the confederate states of America. Lincoln called for 75,000 volunteers to form an army to put down the rebellion in the south.
