The introduction of the Lady Macbeth in the play “Macbeth” highlights her ambitious nature that she possesses for her husband to achieve. Her actions reveal much about her steps and plans which she has pre-planned. She had the finest quality of being manipulative and influencing. She planned the murder of King Dunken and motivated her husband to commit the dead. To give encouragement to Macbeth she herself went to kill King Dunken. Though she was unable to kill him as she found her father's image in sleeping Dunken. She also gave her full support to her husband in attaining the position. In the play she has been regarded as the “fourth witch.” the three witches' prophecies and the plans and encouragement of Lady Macbeth made Macbeth move forward with his wicked plans. At the end of the play, it is seen that she become mentally ill. Since she too played an important role in the murders, she became weak and intolerant of her own ills. She died of this illness for which she herself was the one responsible.

Reread line 167-182. What is ironic about this discovery? In the pardoners tale
raketka [301]

Answer:

The expected outcome of the scene was that the rioters would meet a monstrous being "Death" but instead, they found gold.

Explanation:

Geoffrey Chaucer's "The Canterbury Tales" is a collection of stories told by the traveling pilgrims to Canterbury. One of them was a pardoner who tells the story of the three rioters and their greed.

In "<em>The Pardoner's Tale</em>", three rioters who had done nothing except revel and drink and enjoy were told by one of their servants that his relative had been killed by Death. In drunken anger, they went in search of this person. On the way, they met an old man who told them he's been waiting for Death, and he's just left him under an oak tree. When they reached there, they found no one but instead found eight bushels of gold coins. This is ironic as the expected result will either be a beast or anything that will personify death but instead gold greeted them. Also, it is ironic as this discovery will lead to their deaths later on.

*In 1-2 complete sentences: What is something you have liked about reading The Great Gatsby? What is something you don't like or
Serga [27]

Answer:

found this i dont know if it helps. sorry.

Explanation:

That's Gatsby's biggest character flaw. He's a romantic. He thinks by becoming everything Daisy every dreamed about (wealthy and power and affluence) that he can just come in and sweep her off her feet. he's not prepared for the reality of her situation and of her conflicted feelings. He doesn't understand them because he's romanticized her as a heroine, when in fact, she's just a silly girl who has made some rather bad decisions in her life.
